How to list your parking spot in Prague: a host's practical guide

July 11, 2026 · Guides for hosts

The best parking listings answer the driver’s questions before the driver has to ask them. Where is the entrance? Will my car fit? Can I arrive late? Is the spot covered? What happens when the booking ends?

You do not need a professional garage to start. A driveway, courtyard space, reserved bay, or private garage can be useful when the availability and access are clear.

1. Confirm that you can offer the space

Only list a space you own or are allowed to make available. If it belongs to a building, landlord, homeowners’ association, or shared garage, check the applicable house rules and your agreement first. Keep your listing accurate about what the driver may use: the marked bay, the driveway, the gate, and nothing more.

2. Make the entrance obvious

A driver should be able to recognize the approach without guessing. Add a photo from the street, the entrance, the gate or ramp, and the spot itself. Describe landmarks in plain language: “turn after the pharmacy,” “second gate on the right,” or “use the ramp marked B.”

Never publish sensitive access codes in a public description. Share them through the booking instructions or the agreed access process.

3. Describe the fit honestly

Include approximate width, length, height clearance, surface, lighting, and whether reversing is required. Say if a large SUV, van, roof box, or trailer may not fit. A driver who knows the limits is more likely to arrive smoothly and leave a good review.

The parking-space photo guide explains which details create confidence without exposing private information.

4. Set availability you can keep

Start with hours that are genuinely free. A weekday daytime window is valuable to commuters; evenings and weekends help visitors. You can expand availability later, but a cancelled booking because the space was not actually free damages trust quickly.

5. Price for the whole experience

Use the parking-space pricing guide and the earnings calculator as planning tools, not guarantees. Location, cover, access, availability, and demand all matter. A clear listing at a fair price is stronger than an ambitious listing with poor instructions.

Once the basics are ready, start the host flow. Figpark keeps the listing, booking, payment, and reservation details together so you can offer unused hours without negotiating every arrival by hand.
