Rent out a garage in Prague: make the offer easy to trust

July 11, 2026 · Guides for hosts

An unused garage can be more valuable than an unused outdoor bay, but only when the driver understands the access. A garage listing is not just “covered parking.” It is a promise about the door, ramp, clearance, lighting, and the time the driver can use it.

Describe the real garage

Include the internal length and width, entrance height, ramp angle, turning space, and any pillars or neighbouring walls. Say whether a roof box, van, electric vehicle cable, or larger SUV may be a problem. If the garage is shared, explain which bay is reserved and how the driver recognises it.

Photograph the approach as well as the inside. A bright interior photo cannot answer whether a driver can make the turn from the street. Use the parking photo guide for a simple sequence.

Explain access without exposing security

Tell drivers whether they receive a remote, key, temporary code, or host instruction. Do not publish sensitive codes or a photo of a key. If access depends on a shared building, explain the practical steps and any rule that matters, such as closing the gate behind you.

Be clear about availability

A garage may be empty during work hours, overnight, on weekends, or between longer leases. Offer the window you can reliably honour. If another booking or resident use can interrupt it, say so before the driver pays.

Check the building context

Before listing, check your ownership, lease, building rules, insurance position, and any shared-garage requirements. This article is operational guidance, not legal or tax advice; if the space belongs to someone else or the rules are unclear, resolve that first.

Garage demand is often strongest where street parking is difficult or visitors need certainty. Compare the guide for Karlín, Smíchov, or Old Town and use the earnings calculator to model a sensible range.

When the details are ready, list your garage on Figpark. Clear limits create better bookings than a vague promise of “easy parking.”
