Parking with a trailer in Prague: measure the complete combination
Parking with a trailer in Prague is different from parking a passenger car. The combination may need two bays, a wider turn, a longer approach, or a place where unhitching is actually allowed. Start with the special-vehicle and access parking hub and check the current city parking options before choosing a street or garage.
Measure the combination
Record the total length, width, height, axle position, and turning path with the trailer attached. Include a bike rack, roof box, awning, or other equipment. A space can be long enough in a straight line and still impossible to enter. Ask a private host for the gate width, approach angle, surface, and whether reversing is required through a shared courtyard.
Do not assume that an empty adjacent bay is available for the trailer. Read the signs at the exact location and confirm whether the trailer must stay attached, may be unhitched, or is subject to a separate restriction. Loading and unloading must remain clear of pavements, entrances, emergency access, and neighbours’ gates.
Choose a stay that fits
For a short stop, the destination may have a designated visitor or delivery arrangement. For an overnight or multi-day stay, look for a legal space that explicitly accepts the full vehicle combination. The campervan parking guide covers the difference between storing a vehicle and using it as accommodation; a private space does not automatically permit camping.
Use current Figpark availability only after confirming the host’s dimensions and access instructions. If a trailer is left unattended, remove visible valuables and secure it according to the owner’s instructions. Keep a backup outside the tightest central streets. A successful trailer plan is measured in metres, turning space, and permissions—not only in the map pin.
