Parking near Prague Metro Line B: compare east, west, and centre
Metro Line B crosses Prague from Černý Most to Zličín and serves very different reasons for arriving by car: an outer-edge transfer, a workday in Karlín or the centre, shopping, an event, or a visit to Anděl and Smíchov. The best parking point depends on the final destination and the time you need the car again. Check the current DPP metro map and traffic scheme before relying on a station or transfer.
Use the east or west edge deliberately
Černý Most, Zličín, and other outer stations can work when the car is only a bridge to the centre and the public-transport journey fits the day. A private space near a central Line B station may be better when you carry equipment, have a precise meeting, or need to return to the car between appointments. The P+R guides cover current transfer choices; the Smíchov guide helps with the Anděl and river-side end.
Match the station to the destination
For O2 Arena or Vysočany-area events, the eastern section can be more useful than driving through the centre. For Anděl, Nový Smíchov, or a riverfront visit, a space in Smíchov or a short transit connection can make the final walk easier. Do not choose only by a map pin: check the station entrance, the walk from the parking space, and whether the return exit is open when the programme ends.
Plan the return and vehicle fit
Add waiting time after a concert, shopping bags, a late meeting, and the walk back to the car. If a garage, courtyard, or private space has a gate, height limit, or fixed departure time, read those conditions before payment. Search current spaces once the full window is known, and keep a legal backup for capacity or a service disruption.
The Prague metro parking hub links Line B with commuter, tourist, event, and P+R guidance. The line is useful because it gives you choices; it does not remove the need to plan the last kilometre.
