Parking for minibuses in Prague: plan the vehicle and passenger route

July 12, 2026 · Guides for drivers

Parking a minibus in Prague is a coordination problem: the vehicle needs space, while passengers need a safe place to get out and continue on foot. The closest kerb is not automatically the best answer. Use the special-vehicle and access parking hub and verify current city instructions at parking.praha.eu.

Plan the passenger handoff

Confirm the destination entrance, the number of passengers, luggage, and the time they need to leave the vehicle. A hotel, school, hospital, and concert venue may have different stopping areas and different traffic controls. Unload only where signs permit it, keep the pavement and cycle route clear, and move to a proper parking location once the group is out.

Measure the minibus at its real operating height and length. Roof boxes, air conditioning, mirrors, and an open luggage compartment change the fit. A garage may have a height limit even when an outdoor space nearby works. Ask a private host whether the approach allows a long vehicle to turn without crossing a neighbour’s bay or blocking a shared gate.

Match the stay to the destination

For a short transfer, a legal loading or passenger area may be enough. For a concert, conference, sightseeing day, or overnight stop, reserve a space that covers the complete stay. The large-vehicle parking guide explains why width, height, and the full manoeuvre matter more than the advertised hourly price.

Compare current private parking availability with the destination’s official visitor instructions and the relevant event parking guides. A Figpark space is an independent private arrangement, not a permit to unload anywhere else. Give the driver a written access plan, a backup meeting point, and enough time to walk the group safely. Good minibus parking begins before the passengers arrive at the kerb.
