Delivery parking in Prague is about stopping long enough to load or unload without treating a loading place as an ordinary long-stay bay. The correct option depends on the sign, the activity, the vehicle, and the current operating regime of the street.
Recognise the delivery space
The city's official delivery guidance describes delivery boxes marked by a reserved-parking sign with an additional “Zásobování” panel. Read the sign at the location and follow the permitted purpose. If the box does not fit the route, the official guidance says a short-term permit in a paid zone may be another option, subject to the zone's rules.
Plan the timing
The city recommends loading and deliveries before 8:00 or after 20:00 to keep traffic moving, but the sign and local restriction still control what is legal. Do not block a cycle lane, tram route, driveway, accessible bay, or private entrance while waiting for a recipient. If you need a place to leave the vehicle for hours, a delivery box is not a substitute for a lawful parking space.
Use private parking for the non-delivery part
A private driveway or garage can be useful before or after the actual delivery, especially when you need to stage equipment, return later, or avoid circling while a customer is unavailable. It does not grant permission to stop on the public road or use a host's space for loading beyond the booking.
